WK apartment is located on the last floor of MV building. This allowed us to light up the space through carefully placed skylights, creating a game of shadow and light throughout the day.

The wooden and steel shelving system was designed to cover the structural wall of the core while providing the client with display shelves. The shelves pass through the slab of the second floor, linking the first and second levels of the apartment. The common areas are characterized by the open floor plan, which allowed for a flow in the space, as well as increased light.

The partition between the kitchen and dining room allows for a fun visual relationship. The interplay between etched and clear glass allows for a play of transparency between private and semi-private spaces.

The communal space design of WK apartment allows for an uninterrupted view of Monteverde’s pine trees forests. The interplay between concrete and nature allows a balance in the space.
